Natural gas cars are of two types of cars that make use of liquefied natural gas LNG and the second one using the compressed natural gas CNG. As the positive aspects, the gas cars have negative aspects too. The CNG is considered a cheaper fuel but in some cases when we compare the gasoline with their CNG fuel the gasoline is cheaper. As the gas cars have only stepped into the market in recent years the refilling of fuel will be always a problem as the lack of CNG fuel station network. The fuel efficiency is not that great. CNG vehicles are very expansive. If it’s a onetime investment CNG cars a better option. Un US markets we can’t find the gas cars. In the roads also we can see that the speed is very less compared to gasoline cars. The availability of natural gas in the petrol stations are very tough as its only a new member of the market. The tank fixation is another headache as the CNG tank is very big compared to the gasoline tank. Performance and safety measures also vary. The mileage is less when we consider gas usage and this indirectly influences the performance of the cars. The fuel filling in the pressurized fuel tank is a big safety concern.
As electric cars and gas cars have their own shortcomings in the near future we can expect they will resolve all the shortcomings and will be a promise for the future world. As both the cars are using sustainable sources of energy in some countries they are trying to get a facelift and eventually this can spread to all the parts of the automobile industry and help the world to become greener in the coming years.
